The Asia–Pacific
Journal of Financial Studies (AJFS) invites manuscripts for a
special issue on “Bankruptcy Law and Capital Markets in the Asia-Pacific Region,”
scheduled for publication in 2026. AJFS became the first
finance journal published in the Asia-Pacific region covered by the Social
Science Citation Index (SSCI) in 2006. Visit

This special issue invites both empirical and theoretical papers on a broad range of topics, with an emphasis on bankruptcy law design and its impact on capital markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Topics of interest for this special issue include, but are not limited to:
· Specific features of bankruptcy law design and their implications in the Asia-Pacific region
· Special economic conditions in the Asia-Pacific region and their interactions with and implications for bankruptcy law design
· Default risk and capital markets in the Asia-Pacific region
· Bankruptcy law and entrepreneurship in the Asia-Pacific region
· Bankruptcy resolution in the Asia-Pacific region
· Risk-taking behavior in the Asia-Pacific region
AWARDS:
Up to four (4)
papers will be selected and US$1,000 award will be granted to each selected
paper.

All manuscripts
must be in English and should follow the author guidelines at https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/page/journal/20416156/homepage/ForAuthors.html.

submitted by March 31, 2026, will be considered for this special issue. The
submission fee is waived for the special issue, so please upload the
Submission Charge Form without PayPal information to complete your submission. We expect to complete the review process
and notify authors of the result by May 15,
2026. Early-accepted papers may be published before the release of the special
issue, scheduled for June 2026.
