Greeting

Jin Q Jeon

Dear Members and Visitors,

Greetings! I am Jin Q Jeon, the 42nd President of the Korean Securities Association (KSA). It is an honor and a privilege to serve in this role for the year ahead.

Since its founding in 1976, KSA has grown into Korea’s leading academic society in finance, thanks to the dedication of our predecessors and the ongoing support of our members. Our flagship journals, Asian Review of Financial Studies (AJFS) and Korean Journal of Financial Studies (KJFS), continue to gain global recognition, while our major conferences, CAFM and SFR, serve as important platforms for scholarly exchange and industry engagement.

In 2025, KSA will focus on the following key areas:

1. Strengthening Communication and Community
KSA aims to foster stronger connections among members through enhanced communication channels, regional gatherings, and support for small group meetings and collaborative research. Our goal is to create an inclusive and vibrant academic community across Korea and beyond.

2. Enhancing Policy Dialogue and Industry Engagement
KSA will expand its policy symposia to encourage deeper dialogue among regulators, industry leaders, and academics. By addressing timely topics such as capital market revitalization, value-up initiatives, and virtual assets, KSA hopes to contribute meaningfully to policy development. We also plan to strengthen partnerships with key institutions such as the FSC, FSS, KRX, and KOFIA.

3. Elevating International Collaboration and Research Impact
Following the success of CAFM with over 200 submissions last year, KSA will continue to elevate its global presence and industry relevance. Efforts will also focus on improving the citation impact of AJFS and KJFS, supporting young researchers, and offering platforms for knowledge sharing through conferences and seminars.

4. Deepening Ties with the Capital Market
KSA will restructure and expand the Securities Salon to foster regular, open discussions with financial regulators, industry experts, and corporate leaders. These gatherings will serve as bridges between academic insights and real-world challenges.

5. Building a Warm and Inclusive Association
Most importantly, KSA is committed to cultivating a welcoming environment where all members feel valued and connected—not only through academic activities but also through shared experiences and professional fellowship.

KSA will continue to lead in advancing financial research while contributing to the growth of the capital market. I look forward to your active participation and wish you continued success and good health in the year ahead.

Warm regards,

Junesuh Yi41th President of Korean Securities Association
