Special Issue of
Asia–Pacific Journal of Financial Studies
on Chinese Capital Market

Asia–Pacific Journal of Financial Studies (AJFS) invites manuscripts for a special issue on “Chinese Capital Market”, scheduled for publication in 2022. AJFS became the first finance journal published in the Asia-Pacific region covered by the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) in 2006. Visit

This special issue invites both empirical and theoretical papers in all areas of finance, with a special focus on the recent developments in the Chinese capital market, which has become a G2 economy during the last 40 years. The topics of interest for the special issue are broad, including but not limited to:
• Textual analysis of media, corporate filings and analyst reports
• Big data in Chinese capital market
• Corporate disclosure and finance
• Uncertainty/risk and corporate policy
• Financial market regulation and reforms
• Corporate financing and investment
• Institutional investors
• Foreign investment
• Politics and corporate finance
• Social capital
• Corporate social responsibility and finance
• Capital market of greater China Area
• Chinese cross-listing firms
• Chinese debt market
• Credit rating in China
• The split-share structure and its reform
• Derivatives markets
• Currency liberalization
While this special issue also welcomes submissions focusing on capital markets other than China, priority will be given to those focusing on the Chinese capital market.
AWARDS:
Up to eight (8) papers will be selected and US$1,000 award will be granted to each selected paper.

All manuscripts should be submitted by February 28, 2022. Submission fee is waived, so upload the Submission Charge Form without PayPal information to complete your submission in Step 5 of the submission process. We expect to complete the review process and notify the result by June 30, 2022. Early-accepted papers may appear before the publication of the special issue, which is scheduled for December 2022.
